What does a smile makeover include?
It completely depends on the patient. Sometimes it involves blending all the cosmetic services into one. Our goal is to always restore a patient’s bite to its natural position and bring the aesthetics of the teeth back.
The following information may help you understand the purpose of each cosmetic procedure we offer. Please click on each service to be directed to a page with more extensive information.
It’s common for teeth to become discolored over time. Whitening is a simple and effective process that only takes a short amount of time for results. Zoom whitening is a one-hour visit and take home whitening is an hour a day for two weeks.
If your teeth are chipped, crooked, discolored, or appear too small or too large, veneers may be the answer. With this procedure, thin casings of ceramic are bonded to the front of your teeth, creating a natural, attractive smile.
If the decay in your tooth cannot be repaired with standard filling material, it may need a crown. Not only do crowns help from a cosmetic standpoint, but they also restore the tooth’s durability and support for chewing. This process typically takes 2-3 appointments and involves removing all the decay in your tooth and making an impression of it, which is cemented into place over the tooth.
This is an easy and relatively inexpensive process that involves applying a tooth-colored composite resin (plastic) to improve the appearance of a discolored or chipped tooth. Dental bonding can also help close spaces between teeth, make teeth look longer, or also change their shape.
Cosmetic Gum Lifts:
With the latest in laser technology, reshaping gums has become a less painful and invasive procedure. Some people are uncomfortable with the appearance of their gums, whether they have a “gummy” smile because their gums did not recede normally, or the opposite, where their gums have receded too much. Gum lifts can fix either problem.
Inlays & Onlays:
If your tooth has decay but there is still a part of it that is healthy, an inlay or onlay can be used to repair it. It is like a partial crown; all the decay in the tooth is removed, an impression is taken of the tooth, and then the new porcelain part is cemented into place, strengthening the tooth with a natural appearance.
